In collaboration with 26 partnering host VC firms, we proudly announce our 2023 class of HBCUvc Fellows. This year, 35 students and recent alumni from more than 20 colleges and universities will join our ecosystem as part of our Fellowship Program, providing each Fellow with immersive training and foundational venture capital knowledge. In addition to their hands-on summer internship experience, our 2023 HBCUvc Fellows will have access to networking, professional development, and mentoring opportunities across our community of 600+ strong, consisting of Senior Fellows, firm partners, investors, and industry experts.

Since our inaugural class in 2018, our network of aspiring investors and entrepreneurs has grown exponentially across several city-based cohorts, including Birmingham, San Francisco, and our partnerships with 50 South Capital in Chicago, as well as Pledge LA and The Annenberg Foundation in Los Angeles. This year’s class features passionate and talented professionals who bring a wealth of experiences and perspectives to the rapidly changing worlds of tech entrepreneurship and venture capital. We’re proud to welcome these professionals into the fold of our ecosystem as they represent more than 15 colleges/universities, including eight HBCUs like Johnson C. Smith University, Morehouse College, Howard University, and for the first time, Paul Quinn College and Dillard University.

Ahead of their 10-week paid internship, they will join us for a three-day, in-person New Fellows Retreat hosted by Atento Capital in Tulsa, OK, as well as other programming and events to meet and engage with past cohorts and VC experts.

Join us in congratulating our newest cohort of HBCUvc Fellows and learn more about them below.
